The first phase runs from April 23 to April 26 while the second is set for April 30 to May 3, the directorate detailed in its announcement. Full closure of the Kuwait Society of Engineers intersection with Street 800 will be in effect during the specified hours each night. The entrance and exit to Street 60 will also be shut, with temporary U-turns constructed to reroute traffic effectively, according to the plan. Officials coordinated with the Ministry of Public Works on the schedule.
Arab Times reported that the measures will facilitate essential backfill operations on the roadway during off-peak hours. The General Directorate of Traffic called for driver compliance with all posted instructions and alternative paths.
