The ambassador detailed advances under President Xi Jinping that include lifting more than 800 million citizens from absolute poverty while constructing the world’s largest systems for education, healthcare and social security.

According to the envoy, Beijing has contributed substantially to global economic progress, United Nations initiatives and peacekeeping operations worldwide. The ambassador noted that 2026 also represents the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Kuwait. He characterized the two countries as “good friends, good partners and good brothers” whose partnership has expanded through mutual respect and joint efforts regardless of differences in political systems. Recent discussions between President Xi Jinping and Kuwait’s Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah have established strategic guidance for bilateral advancement, Yang Xin stated.
China is prepared to collaborate with Kuwait on turning leadership agreements into concrete cooperation across sectors to produce tangible gains for both populations, the ambassador affirmed. Figures from the Chinese embassy in Kuwait show that China has served as Kuwait’s largest trading partner for 11 consecutive years with bilateral trade volume reaching 18.58 billion U.S. dollars in 2025. This commercial foundation supports broader strategic engagement that the envoy highlighted as a priority for future development.
Yang Xin emphasized the Communist Party of China’s ongoing focus on national modernization paired with enhancements to public living standards across China. The reception drew participation from multiple Kuwaiti dignitaries and government representatives who joined in observing the CPC milestone. Kuwait maintains a prominent position among energy suppliers to the Chinese economy according to official trade records that track consistent crude oil flows between the nations.
