The ministry’s official June 2026 statistics placed total receipts at KD 4,456,216, the Department of Statistics and Research document shows. Capital Court generated 50.7 percent of that sum while Farwaniya Court contributed 36.3 percent according to the breakdown. Remaining amounts originated from Al-Ahmadi Court, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Court and other jurisdictions whose combined share completed the monthly figure.

These collections follow the issuance of Decree-Law No. 78 of 2025 that amended Judicial Fees Law No. 17 of 1973 by introducing a graduated scale for claims. The law set a 5 percent rate on values up to KD 30,000, tapering to 1 percent above KD 5 million, the official gazette recorded at the time. It additionally lifted charges on procedural requests and imposed fees on refiled suits to promote more deliberate use of the courts.

The Judicial Fees Department estimates dues on every claim, petition and order submitted to the courts before conducting audits on adjudicated matters. Its fund section oversees actual collection of fees, expert charges and guarantees that become confiscatable, the ministry’s departmental description states. Staff also prepare disbursement schedules and handle related executive writs in coordination with other units.

A subsequent administrative circular issued in December 2025 set copy fees at half a dinar per page for non-litigants and additional litigant requests after the initial free copy. Certificates and full case-file photocopies carry a one-dinar charge under the same rules, the ministry circular specified. These measures, which applied fully during the June 2026 period, standardised practices among court clerks at the Court of First Instance.

Ministry of Finance budget projections for fiscal year 2025-2026 anticipated KD 159.5 million in total revenues for the Ministry of Justice, a portion of which derives from judicial and administrative fees. The June total forms one data point within that annual framework, the budget tables indicate. Monthly statistical releases allow tracking of trends since the 2025 legislative adjustments took effect.

The department additionally manages refund requests, attorney fee estimations and obsolete guarantee notifications to the finance authorities. Its regular reports, compiled for every month, support ongoing oversight of judicial administration, the ministry has noted in its publications. Comparable data for later months will permit direct year-on-year comparisons once released.
