The Ministry of Justice’s Department of Statistics and Research reported that the ministry completed 400,519 enforcement procedures in June. Executive seizure reports concerning funds or assets held by third parties topped the list with 83,380 cases. These were followed by 39,377 reports for lifting seizures and 5,826 proof-of-status reports, while the department processed 4,983 requests to lift seizures overall and 4,481 requests linked to vehicles.
According to the ministry data, the Travel Ban Department completed 5,855 procedures in the same period. Collection forms accounted for KD 447,753 of the total with receipts adding KD 440,947. The figures also captured 4,357 travel-ban requests and 2,645 requests to arrest and bring in debtors as part of ongoing judicial enforcement.
The ministry’s breakdown placed the Capital Governorate at the top with 120,778 procedures. Ahmadi followed with 75,634, Hawalli recorded 67,452, Farwaniya saw 56,736, Jahra handled 48,744 and Mubarak Al-Kabeer managed 29,860. An additional 1,315 procedures took place at ports, Sulaibiya and the Lawyers Association.
These enforcement measures support the implementation of court judgments across civil, financial and related disputes. The Department of Statistics and Research compiles the monthly totals to monitor activity in residency, commercial and judicial transactions. Such data helps authorities track compliance with legal obligations throughout the country.
A July 2026 amendment to the Civil and Commercial Procedures Law expanded judicial authority to speed issuance of travel ban orders, according to government announcements covered by regional outlets. The Ministry of Justice continues to apply these tools as part of routine enforcement operations. Officials have indicated the changes will reduce delays in addressing outstanding cases.
Ministry of Justice statistics for 2024 showed 69,654 new travel bans issued amid 182,255 total judicial enforcement actions. That volume marked an 18.5 percent rise from 2023 levels. The June 2026 figures align with sustained demand for such procedures in debt recovery and court-ordered restrictions.
