The Kuwait News Agency reported that Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad Al-Saud personally delivered the message to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at a reception held in Bayan Palace. The encounter brought together Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Director of the Amir’s Office Jamal Al-Theyab and Amiri Diwan Undersecretary Sheikh Abdulaziz Mishal Al-Sabah. Kuwait News Agency figures confirm the exchange took place on Tuesday as part of ongoing diplomatic coordination between the two states.

The invitation highlights the depth of bilateral engagement that has defined Kuwaiti-Saudi relations for decades, according to the Kuwait News Agency account. Prince Sultan bin Saad Al-Saud conveyed the written note on behalf of the Saudi leadership during the formal reception. Such direct communications form a regular channel through which the countries align on matters of mutual strategic importance.

The Future Investment Initiative launched in 2017 under the auspices of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, the FII Institute has stated on its official platform. The annual flagship conference evolved into a standalone institute by royal decree in 2019 with a stated focus on driving impact through investment in promising global solutions. Organizers position the 10th edition as a milestone anniversary event that continues this trajectory of convening policymakers, investors and innovators.

Earlier FII gatherings have drawn substantial international participation, with associated priority summits such as the 2026 Miami edition registering more than 2,000 global leaders, the FII Institute reported. These forums emphasize sectors including technology, sustainability and healthcare as areas for capital deployment that can deliver measurable outcomes. The Riyadh flagship remains the institute’s central convening, building on nearly a decade of programming that has expanded its geographic and thematic scope.

Kuwait maintains active involvement in regional economic initiatives that intersect with the forum’s objectives, including cooperation through the Gulf Cooperation Council where both states coordinate on diversification strategies. The Public Investment Fund has used past FII events to outline long-term visions for asset growth and cross-border partnerships, according to institute documentation. Attendance at the October gathering would align with Kuwait’s established pattern of engagement in platforms that address future-oriented investment flows.

The Amiri Diwan has not yet issued a confirmation regarding the Amir’s response to the invitation, the Kuwait News Agency noted in its coverage. Preparations for the 10th edition continue in Riyadh with the event expected to attract participants from more than 100 countries based on historical trends documented by the FII Institute. This latest diplomatic outreach fits within a series of high-level exchanges that have intensified in recent months between Kuwaiti and Saudi officials.
