Separately the ministry received approval from the State Audit Bureau for a contract valued at KD1.994 million to supply install and operate a battery and charger testing laboratory together with an associated workshop. The facility will focus on testing batteries and circuit breakers to raise operational efficiency and strengthen reliability of electrical equipment. This development will back preventative maintenance programs cut downtime and lift overall service standards the ministry indicated.
