The Ministry of Interior said in an official statement that no body was found during its recent security campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. It urged the public not to believe information circulated on social media through unofficial accounts. The ministry stressed that legal measures will be taken against individuals who publish false news or rumors that mislead public opinion. This clarification was issued to counter rapid spread of unverified claims following the visible multi-agency operation in the area.

The campaign took place on Wednesday under the direct supervision of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah and involved 11 government entities focused on security and public health. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry reported closing ten violating commercial establishments and issuing 152 reports during the joint operation. Director of the Commercial Control Department Faisal Al-Ansari explained that violations included a restaurant and cafe selling counterfeit and expired products along with gold shops operating without required electronic payment services. Inspection teams also identified domestic worker recruitment offices collecting cash fees in violation of regulations and travel agencies running without valid licenses with all cases referred to the Commercial Prosecution.

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition issued 315 citations to food establishments in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh for serious violations that encompassed sale of expired and adulterated products. In a press statement the authority noted that many facilities operated without valid licenses and failed to comply with personal and public hygiene requirements or provide valid health certificates for food items. Food products deemed unfit for consumption were destroyed on site and all violations were referred to the relevant authorities for legal action. The authority participated with 102 inspectors from the General Directorate of Inspection and Control Affairs led by Farwaniya Inspection Department Director Talal Al-Daihani.

Kuwait Times reported that Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah has stated there will be no leniency toward buildings or operations in violation of regulations during such campaigns. The Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area has been the site of repeated enforcement actions in recent years due to persistent issues with overcrowding and unlicensed commercial activity. KUNA figures from a related August 2025 Cabinet review showed sustained government focus on nationwide real estate and safety violations of which the latest operation forms a part.

Participating agencies coordinated their efforts to address both immediate regulatory breaches and longer-term public safety concerns across the district. The scale of citations and closures underscores the extent of non-compliance identified in a single day of inspections. Authorities have indicated that similar joint campaigns will continue in other locations as part of broader enforcement efforts.
