According to the ministry’s detailed inventory, authorities seized 3 kilograms and 35 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 15 grams of heroin, 11 grams of hashish and 2 grams of chemical substances. The haul also included 96 papers laced with chemical liquid plus additional scraps saturated with the same material, 2,502 Captagon tablets and 81 tablets or capsules containing psychoactive substances. In addition the directorate recovered three digital scales and KD 960 believed to represent proceeds from drug trafficking.
The ministry highlighted one case in which officers tracked a postal shipment concealing crystal methamphetamine, arresting the recipient upon collection and discovering further quantities in his possession intended for distribution. This intervention prevented the narcotics from reaching the local market through covert delivery channels. Such targeted actions demonstrate the directorate’s focus on multiple smuggling methods including conventional postal routes.
This operation follows a comparable effort announced by the ministry in mid-June 2026 during which the General Directorate for Drug Control arrested 14 suspects in eight cases and seized 1.425 kilograms of methamphetamine along with hashish, marijuana, heroin and related paraphernalia. The repeated busts illustrate a sustained push against narcotics at a time when the directorate maintains heightened vigilance across the emirate.
