Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co. announced the launch of SQUATWOLF’s second store in Kuwait at the ground floor of Al Khiran Mall. The retailer invited shoppers to discover the brand’s latest collections in training, running and lifestyle performance wear. AAW, one of Kuwait’s largest trading companies operating across nine diverse sectors and distributing more than 200 global brands, framed the opening as an extension of its sports and lifestyle portfolio. The move follows the brand’s first Kuwait flagship at The Avenues, which SQUATWOLF said broke company sales records on its opening weekend in April.
SQUATWOLF said in an announcement that the new store opened with the push of a buzzer and included community activations such as Polaroid photo stands and a Reaction Ring experience. The company noted that its Kuwait pack had shown up with incredible energy, mirroring the support that made the initial store a success. According to SQUATWOLF, the first location at The Avenues confirmed demand the brand had already built through e-commerce and wholesale partnerships with AAW more than a year prior to the standalone debut.
The Dubai-founded brand, established in 2016, has expanded to seven key locations across the UAE, Qatar and now Kuwait with a second outlet. A SQUATWOLF statement tied to the initial Kuwait entry described the market as a long-term commitment to building a home for the local fitness community rather than a simple retail expansion. AAW deputy CEO Khalid Al Mutawa said in remarks connected to the first opening that the partnership reflected the company’s focus on delivering premium products aligned with shifting consumer preferences.
The expansion arrives as the GCC activewear sector experiences sustained growth. Grand View Research projected the regional activewear market to rise at a compound annual growth rate of 9.7 percent from 2026 to 2033, increasing from 8.7 million dollars in 2025 to 18.0 million dollars by 2033. A separate Ken Research assessment placed the broader GCC premium sportswear market at 8 billion dollars in 2025, forecasting expansion to 16 billion dollars by 2031 at a 12.5 percent compound annual rate, with Saudi Arabia and the UAE leading but Kuwait showing solid uptake.
SQUATWOLF stated in a social media post, “Our second store in Kuwait is officially open. We love how our Kuwait pack always shows up for us, so we knew our second location had to be just as special. This time, we’re at Al Khiran Mall, and the pack brought incredible energy once again.” The brand has maintained a consistent approach of proving demand through partnerships before committing to flagship stores. Its collaboration with AAW has enabled this measured rollout across multiple GCC markets following an earlier entry into Qatar.
The new Al Khiran Mall location features distinct men’s and women’s sections along with a dedicated accessories wall, consistent with the format established at The Avenues. Company announcements emphasised the streamlined shopping experience and focus on technical apparel designed for both athletes and everyday fitness enthusiasts. AAW’s role as the local partner has been central to SQUATWOLF’s successful entry and subsequent growth in the Kuwaiti market.
