A report issued by Dar Al-Sabaek Company on August 16 2026 showed 24-karat gold in Kuwait reaching around KD 43.6 per gram while 22-karat stood at KD 39.97 per gram. The same document listed silver at KD 727 per kilogram. Global gold closed the week at $4,377 per ounce after posting gains for the second consecutive week according to the Kuwait-based firm’s analysis.

Dar Al-Sabaek attributed the advances to a softer US dollar and declining expectations for an interest-rate hike at the Federal Reserve’s September meeting which the report said fell from 55 percent to 31 percent. US retail sales dropped 0.6 percent in July missing forecasts for a 0.1 percent rise while inflation data pointed to continued moderation the company reported. Lower Treasury yields and reduced opportunity costs for holding bullion added further support the assessment found.

The Dar Al-Sabaek report noted that the preliminary US consumer confidence index declined to 51 points from 55 in the prior month with one-year inflation expectations rising to 4.3 percent. Geopolitical developments in the Middle East and questions over the Strait of Hormuz remained in focus although oil prices did not surge sharply. Central-bank buying provided a floor with China adding 20 tons to reserves in July for the 21st consecutive month according to the company.

Dar Al-Sabaek which operates under a commercial license from Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry maintains a real-time pricing platform and mobile application for gold and precious metals. The firm has partnered with local banks including Warba Bank to offer gold accounts that allow customers to buy and store physical metal through digital channels. Its market updates have become a regular reference for local traders following both international benchmarks and regional demand patterns.

Investors will now watch the minutes from the latest Federal Reserve meeting that included three dissenting votes as well as upcoming European Central Bank decisions the Dar Al-Sabaek report stated. The company data also aligned 21-karat gold near KD 37.93 per gram and 18-karat near KD 32.51 per gram at the time of the August 16 release. These levels reflected the broader upward movement in bullion prices that the firm has documented across recent weekly reports distributed through KUNA.
