The Ministry of Interior said Criminal Investigation Department officers in Jahra Governorate carried out the raid after receiving information about unauthorized slaughtering at two livestock pens in the area. The three Bangladeshi nationals were detained while operations were underway at the facilities which lacked required permits and oversight. Investigators had confirmed the misuse of the sites before securing legal authorization for the action according to the ministry statement.

According to the ministry the pens were registered for purposes other than slaughtering in breach of regulations enforced by the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources. The operation targeted activities that bypassed official health and safety standards for meat production. The ministry reported that the suspects were referred to relevant authorities for legal proceedings following the arrests.

The Ministry of Interior noted that the case reflects ongoing monitoring of livestock areas to prevent unlicensed commercial activities. In a May 2026 operation also handled by the Jahra CID the ministry announced the arrest of 10 Indian and Bangladeshi workers at three similar sites in the Kabd area. That raid followed the same pattern of facilities operating without proper licensing or supervision from agricultural bodies.

Gulf News cited the ministry in its coverage of the earlier Kabd case highlighting how such violations threaten public health and food safety across Kuwait. The Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources requires all slaughter operations to occur in approved facilities with veterinary inspection to meet established standards. Repeated enforcement actions in Jahra and surrounding regions have focused on addressing these regulatory breaches involving expatriate workers.

The ministry added that legal measures against the three individuals will proceed in coordination with concerned bodies. Security teams confiscated materials from the two Jahra sites as part of the evidence gathering process. Authorities have handled a number of comparable incidents in recent years as part of systematic campaigns in the governorate.
