The operation also resulted in the issuance of numerous traffic citations and the impoundment of several vehicles, a ministry assessment found. Ministry of Interior figures show that comparable campaigns throughout 2025 led to the deportation of more than 19,000 expatriates who had violated residency rules in the first six months alone. That data underscores the scale of enforcement actions taken under directives from senior ministry leadership. Similar sweeps have targeted multiple governorates with the aim of curbing repeat offenses.
In one recent example cited by the ministry a comprehensive drive in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area produced 1,253 arrests tied to security, residency and labor infractions. That operation, which ran under the oversight of Undersecretary Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahaib, also identified 36 children born out of wedlock who were referred with their mothers for further handling. The ministry has repeatedly stated that campaigns will expand to all identified violation hotspots.
Public Authority for Manpower inspections conducted alongside interior ministry teams have uncovered bribery cases linked to residency permits in parallel operations, according to ministry releases. Those efforts included field checks on hundreds of workers and businesses, with violators directed to deportation centers. Coordinated actions with municipalities and other agencies have removed abandoned vehicles and issued hundreds of infraction notices during these initiatives.
The Ministry of Interior has maintained that such measures contribute directly to enhanced safety and regulatory compliance. Additional campaigns have been scheduled for districts showing persistent irregularities, ministry statements confirm.
