The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition reported that its Inspection Department carried out the campaign at the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Market and uncovered several food safety violations. Inspectors issued four reports for trading adulterated food products as part of the enforcement action. Four destruction reports were executed on the spot resulting in the disposal of the full 100 kilograms of meat whose source could not be verified according to the authority.

One individual received a deportation report during the operation the authority stated. The meat was destroyed immediately to remove it from any potential circulation in the market. The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition placed the total number of reports issued in the campaign at nine including the four destruction orders and the single deportation case.

Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh has figured in multiple food safety campaigns throughout 2026. A July operation in the same district that deployed 102 inspectors produced 315 violation reports according to Public Authority for Food and Nutrition figures. That earlier drive formed part of a pattern of repeated actions targeting the area’s dense cluster of commercial food outlets.

Other campaigns in recent months have resulted in the destruction of substantially larger volumes including one sweep that disposed of 500 kilograms of meat the authority has reported in prior updates. The district’s high volume of small businesses and expatriate customer base has drawn sustained regulatory attention from the food authority. Figures from these operations show that violations involving undocumented or untraceable products recur across successive inspections.

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition stated that it will continue intensifying inspection campaigns across all of Kuwait’s governorates. The authority further indicated that oversight of food establishments and related activities would be strengthened in the period ahead. These steps according to the authority are intended to protect consumer health and ensure the safety of food products in circulation.

Additional enforcement actions are planned in the weeks ahead as the authority maintains its schedule of market visits. The latest Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh findings will be integrated into the body’s broader compliance records. Public Authority for Food and Nutrition data from the first half of 2026 already reflect elevated activity in districts with similar commercial profiles.
