The Ministry of Interior reported that security forces detained the suspect after investigators traced the discovery of a body in a garbage container back to the Indian expatriate. Officers responded promptly to public reports of the remains in a residential neighborhood, where initial examinations by forensic teams from the General Department of Criminal Evidence determined the death resulted from natural causes rather than any criminal act. The ministry detailed how the suspect transported the body to the site instead of contacting authorities, an action that triggered immediate legal scrutiny under local regulations governing the reporting of deaths.

According to the ministry’s assessment, both the deceased and the arrested man were part of Kuwait’s large Indian expatriate workforce, and the suspect acted out of concern over potential residency complications. The Ministry of Interior referred the case to the Public Prosecution for charges focused on the unauthorized disposal of human remains and any related violations. Similar cases in recent years have involved expatriates attempting to avoid official procedures, underscoring recurring challenges in community compliance with Kuwaiti law.

Public Authority for Civil Information figures place the Indian community at more than one million people, forming the largest expatriate group in the country and accounting for a significant share of the labor force across multiple sectors. This demographic scale, combined with complex administrative requirements for residency and emergencies, has led to periodic incidents where individuals bypass official channels following a death. The ministry has previously issued guidance urging immediate reporting to prevent escalation into legal matters beyond the initial event.

Forensic teams completed their on-site work and transferred the remains for final processing ahead of potential repatriation to India, the Ministry of Interior stated. Investigators reviewed surveillance and witness accounts to establish the timeline, confirming the suspect acted alone in moving the body from a private location to the public container. The ministry emphasized that such actions interfere with standard procedures managed by health and interior authorities.

In parallel with the arrest, the Ministry of Interior continues broader campaigns to educate expatriate populations on mandatory reporting for medical emergencies and fatalities. Central Statistical Bureau data indicates expatriates comprise roughly 70 percent of Kuwait’s total population, amplifying the impact of any lapses in protocol across diverse national groups. Officials noted that proper channels exist through local police stations and hospitals to handle these situations without additional penalties.

The arrested expatriate remains in custody as inquiries proceed into his own legal status at the time of the incident, according to the ministry. This development aligns with routine security operations that address both criminal and administrative infractions involving the expatriate community. The Public Prosecution will determine the full scope of charges following completion of all investigative reports.
