A security source told Al-Anba that the operations room of the Jahra Security Directorate received an evening report about the incident in a house in the Al Qasr area. This prompted a patrol from the local police station to head immediately to the location. A Kuwaiti citizen born in 1971 had notified authorities of the situation involving the Indian national born in 1981.

The Indian man was transported to hospital where the medical report showed he arrived as a lifeless body without pulse or blood pressure and with fixed dilated pupils, the source added. The absence of immediate vital signs triggered standard protocols for unexplained deaths among expatriates. Jahra prosecutors were briefed on all details from the scene and the medical examination.

The Deputy Public Prosecutor directed that the case be registered with a suspicion of criminal elements and instructed the criminal investigation department to conduct thorough inquiries into the full circumstances, the security source stated. This process typically includes forensic analysis, witness statements and scene reconstruction to determine the exact cause. Public Prosecution oversight ensures compliance with legal standards from the outset of such probes.

Public Authority for Civil Information figures place Kuwait’s expatriate population at roughly 3.3 million, more than two-thirds of the total residents, with Indians forming one of the largest national groups. The Ministry of Interior has reported handling numerous cases involving foreign workers each year through coordinated responses between police, medical authorities and prosecutors. Central Statistical Bureau data has previously highlighted the scale of the expatriate workforce across construction, services and other vital sectors.

A senior official with the Ministry of Interior noted in past statements that early involvement of the Public Prosecution in unexplained deaths allows for swift collection of evidence while protecting the rights of all parties. Detectives are now tasked with compiling a comprehensive file that will guide any further legal classification of the death. No additional information on potential causes or individuals involved has been released as the investigation continues.
