The Ministry of Interior said in a statement that the visit aligns with senior leadership directives to maintain the highest levels of precision when dealing with all travelers. Al-Wahib toured multiple sections of the terminal and received briefings from on-site security teams. He directed staff to balance rigorous protocol enforcement with cooperative interactions at every checkpoint.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation data places annual passenger traffic at Kuwait International Airport above 15 million in recent years following post-pandemic recovery. The T4 terminal supports a significant share of this volume across international routes. Such inspections allow officials to evaluate how facilities manage both security demands and daily operational requirements.
Al-Wahib told accompanying officials during the review that border ports represent the first facade of the state. “Border crossings represent the first facade of the state,” he said in remarks carried by the ministry. The undersecretary called for continued focus on accuracy while ensuring smooth processing for passengers from varied destinations.
The Ministry of Interior has carried out multiple field visits to airport facilities throughout 2025 and into 2026 as part of routine oversight.
