Mohammed Al-Adsani has won the third season of Kuwait’s GR Yaris Cup, finishing a five-round championship in which competitors raced cars prepared to the same specifications.
Mohammed Al-Adsani has secured Kuwait’s GR Yaris Cup Season 3 title with 242 points, finishing 35 points ahead of his nearest rival after the championship’s final round at Kuwait Motor Town.
Competing in an Iconwerx-sponsored car, Al-Adsani emerged as champion of a series built around a straightforward sporting premise: drivers compete in the same model of car, with a common racing specification placing greater emphasis on what happens behind the wheel.
The result, reported in 2:48AM’s season recap, concludes a campaign that began in December 2025. Toyota Kuwait’s official calendar lists the final round on 29–30 October 2026.
From Ferrari podiums to a Kuwait title
Al-Adsani brought previous circuit-racing experience to the competition. His profile on the championship organiser’s website lists two podium finishes in the Ferrari Winter Challenge and participation in its Abu Dhabi event in 2024.
That background provides context for his latest result, although the GR Yaris Cup presented a different competitive setting: a field sharing a vehicle platform and racing against one another at Kuwait Motor Town.
The championship’s published driver profiles show a mix of experience. Other entrants have backgrounds in karting, time attack, autocross and circuit racing. Bringing those drivers into a common format creates a meeting point for disciplines that otherwise measure performance in different ways.
Al-Adsani’s title adds a season-long championship result to the podium finishes recorded in his earlier racing profile.
What equal-specification racing means
The GR Yaris Cup is a one-make championship, with its cars prepared around a shared technical package. That distinction matters because the contest is designed to reduce differences between the machinery available to competitors.
In its Season 3 announcement, ALSAYER described a fleet of 12 GR Yaris cars prepared by its Ahmadi Performance team. The common equipment included adjustable racing suspension, race exhausts, upgraded braking components and Yokohama A050 tyres.
The preparation also extended to the cockpit. ALSAYER listed racing seats, six-point harnesses, fire-suppression systems and roll cages, alongside data loggers intended to help drivers analyse their performance.
These details distinguish the championship cars from ordinary road-going examples of the GR Yaris. They also explain the sporting appeal of the format: competitors work within a shared technical framework, rather than entering an unrestricted contest between different makes and levels of modification.
Five rounds at Kuwait Motor Town
The official Season 3 calendar records an opening round on 11–12 December 2025, followed by meetings in January and February 2026. The concluding two rounds were scheduled for 15–16 and 29–30 October.
The championship brought together ALSAYER, Suffix Sports Management, Kuwait Motor Town and the Kuwait International Automobile Club, combining vehicle preparation with event management and circuit operations.
For spectators, the series offered a recurring local racing fixture. The season recap describes free admission, with activities and food trucks accompanying the racing.
Al-Adsani finishes the campaign with the championship and a 35-point advantage. His win gives the third season a clear sporting conclusion: a named champion, a five-round campaign and a result earned within the series’ common vehicle specification.
