The General Command of the Kuwaiti Army released a statement following recent interception operations that scattered debris in multiple locations across the country. It called on citizens and residents to avoid approaching any sites where shrapnel or foreign objects have fallen in the wake of these activities. The military body stressed that such steps are essential to protect public safety and national security. Everyone must adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by competent authorities and draw information solely from official authorized sources.

According to the General Command, members of the public should refrain from taking photographs or publishing videos of the debris sites on social media platforms. The statement highlighted that public cooperation remains vital to safeguarding community security and the well-being of all residents amid the current conditions. This advisory reinforces the need for disciplined responses to events involving air defense systems.

A statement issued the previous day by the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army reported that air defense systems had engaged hostile drones and missiles. That July 8 communication explained that blasts heard in parts of the country stemmed from mid-air interceptions. The General Staff similarly directed residents to abide by safety instructions from the competent bodies, as conveyed through Kuwait News Agency.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior figures show that explosive ordnance disposal teams from the army, interior ministry and national guard have responded to numerous debris reports in recent months. The ministry’s data places the cumulative total of handled reports at 629, with 13 reports managed in one recent period. These responses have occurred without reported fatalities, underscoring the coordinated efforts among security agencies.

The General Command has issued comparable public advisories after earlier interception episodes documented throughout 2026. Successive statements from the military have maintained focus on defensive measures and civilian guidance without specifying threat origins. Continued emphasis on official channels helps limit the circulation of unverified information during such events.
