The suspects brandished a fake pistol and a knife while taking gold jewelry along with mobile phones valued at KD 39,000. The ministry noted that the pair relied on a stolen vehicle for their escape before setting it on fire in the same district to destroy potential evidence. Investigators acted quickly after the report reached authorities.
According to the ministry the Farwaniya Governorate Investigation Department assumed control of the case and conducted an extensive probe. Officers examined the crime scene for forensic traces while also collecting and analyzing surveillance footage that recorded the suspects in the act. The ministry added that one of the men was already wanted on an outstanding warrant related to residency regulation violations which provided an early lead in the search.
