Kuwait Club secured an 85-74 victory over Sharjah SC in the friendly match, according to local basketball officials. The game took place in Kuwait as both teams prepared for the upcoming regional season. Officials noted that the match allowed the players to build chemistry and test strategies against international competition.

FIBA Basketball reports indicate that the two teams have met several times in official competitions since that friendly. Kuwait SC overwhelmed Sharjah SC 115-81 in a Group B game in November 2025 at the Shaikh Saad Alabdullah Sport Hall Complex. The win propelled Kuwait SC to the top of the standings at that time, with contributions from Charlie Moore who posted 28 points and 17 assists.

Subsequent FIBA data places the teams’ next encounter in January 2026, where Kuwait Club triumphed 111-86 in Dubai. Charlie Moore led with 32 points and 10 assists in that contest while Joffrey Lauvergne added a double-double. The results demonstrate Kuwait SC’s continued edge over the Emirati side in the FIBA WASL Gulf League.

The league, according to FIBA Basketball, features top clubs from the Gulf region competing for regional supremacy. Sharjah SC entered the competition as defending UAE League champions but struggled to match Kuwait SC’s pace in both meetings. Attendance at the games remained modest, with one match drawing only 100 spectators.

Kuwait SC’s success in these matches has boosted its bid for a top position in the group, FIBA figures show. The club has a history of strong performances in the competition, having won the title twice before. Such friendlies serve as critical preparation tools for teams navigating the demanding schedule of regional and international play.
