The Ministry of Interior announced that its security campaign in Kuwait’s Capital governorate netted 232 wanted persons and violators. The update was provided on October 15, 2026 as part of the ministry’s regular reporting on law enforcement activities. The campaign targeted a range of legal infractions to promote greater compliance among residents and visitors alike.
According to the ministry, the operation is one of many conducted regularly to enhance security and safety. In a comparable effort in the Farwaniya governorate earlier this month, 65 people were arrested and a total of 693 violations and enforcement actions were recorded. The ministry said the campaigns involve coordination with multiple state agencies to cover various regulatory areas.
The ministry has described the Capital governorate as a key focus due to its central location and high activity levels. Operations there typically include checks for residency status, traffic rule adherence and labor law compliance. This multifaceted approach allows authorities to address several concerns in a single sweep. The results contribute to the overall goal of reducing violations across the board.
A nationwide campaign in September yielded 678 citations and the arrest of 72 absconders along with 53 residency law violators, the ministry reported at the time. That operation also included actions against unauthorized laborers and cases involving forged documents. Such figures illustrate the volume of enforcement work undertaken by security forces on a monthly basis. The ministry continues to expand these activities to all governorates.
Fixed checkpoints and mobile patrols form the backbone of these security campaigns, the ministry has explained. By involving partners like the Public Authority for Manpower and the Environment Public Authority, the operations achieve broader coverage. This collaboration has proven effective in identifying a wide array of issues from abandoned vehicles to improper commercial practices. The ministry plans to sustain this level of activity moving forward.
