Kuwait reaffirmed its complete solidarity with the four affected countries in the statement released on Sunday. A KUNA report on previous similar positions noted that Kuwait has repeatedly voiced support for measures taken by neighboring states to protect their security. The latest condemnation aligns with a pattern of diplomatic responses to cross-border incidents that have intensified since early July. Officials emphasized that continued violations could further destabilize the Gulf region where multiple nations maintain close economic and security ties.
The ministry warned that persistence in such attacks risks broader consequences for the entire area and urged de-escalation without delay. Regional tensions have risen following a series of missile and drone strikes across the Gulf, according to a report by The National. Iran launched operations against United States military sites in several countries after joint actions involving the United States and Israel, the publication added. Kuwait’s Defence Ministry separately reported intercepting multiple projectiles that caused material damage and injured one individual whose condition remains stable.
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a parallel statement condemning repeated Iranian attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait as breaches of sovereignty and international law. The Qatari position, distributed on July 9, stressed the importance of dialogue, diplomacy and building on existing memorandums of understanding to restore stability. Oman’s Foreign Ministry similarly called for an immediate halt to all attacks on sites throughout the region, including those in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq and Jordan. These coordinated diplomatic messages reflect a unified GCC stance against actions that could expand ongoing conflicts.
Earlier Kuwaiti statements documented by KUNA in March, April and June of 2026 similarly condemned Iranian strikes on Bahrain, Jordan and other neighbors while referencing violations of UN resolutions. The latest declaration on July 12 extends that position to explicitly include Oman and Qatar among the targeted states. The ministry reiterated that all parties must adhere to international law to prevent further deterioration of conditions across the Gulf. Regional bodies continue to monitor developments as diplomatic efforts seek to contain the fallout from the recent military exchanges.
