The Kuwait E-Sports Club announced on Jan. 24 that it will organize six community e-sports tournaments this season, open to all citizens and residents of the country in collaboration with the Public Authority for Sports. Club president Abdullah Al-Ali thanked Acting Director General Bashar Abdullah for his continuous support and noted the silver medal won by Kuwaiti players at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games.
Al-Ali said the tournaments are being organized to further promote e-sports in Kuwait amid rapid growth in the sector globally and locally. The club president highlighted strong government backing through the Public Authority for Sports and the Kuwait Olympic Committee. He described this support as key to advancing professionalism and development in the fast-growing field. The announcement came as the club seeks to build on recent competitive successes.
According to the Kuwait E-Sports Club website, the organization is planning a number of events in Kuwait that will be announced in the next few months with promoters able to seek authentication for their competitions. The six community tournaments fit within this framework by targeting a broad audience rather than only professional players. Such events contribute to the development and support of esports at all levels throughout the country. The club focuses on organizing national championships, competitions and cups in esports.
