The Ministry of Education announced that three students secured perfect scores across all subjects in the 2025-2026 secondary certificate examinations, a milestone the ministry described as unprecedented in Kuwait’s history. Minister Eng. Jalal Al-Tabtabaei delivered the results during a live broadcast on Kuwait Television following a formal approval ceremony in South Surra. According to the ministry, the achievement occurred despite disruptions that required a full transition to e-learning amid regional tensions stemming from Iranian attacks.

Ministry figures show a pass rate of 91.69 percent for the science stream, 83.55 percent for literature and 83.84 percent for religious education among public and private school candidates. These outcomes were made available immediately through the Sahel government services application for students and families to access. The ministry’s tally covered thousands of examinees, reflecting broad participation across the three academic tracks.

Al-Tabtabaei stated, “the students have proven that willpower, diligence and ambition can help them overcome challenges and achieve success and excellence.” He added in the same announcement that this unprecedented achievement reflects the students’ hard work and perseverance. The minister extended thanks to the Amir, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and security services for their support in maintaining educational continuity.

World Bank data places Kuwait’s gross secondary enrollment ratio above 90 percent in recent reporting periods, part of a sustained expansion that has lifted literacy rates from 73 percent in 1990 to near-universal coverage today according to UNESCO statistics. The ministry has prioritised digital platforms in recent years, investments that enabled seamless remote assessment when in-person gatherings were curtailed. Such infrastructure formed the backbone of examination delivery this academic year.

The live television presentation included recognition for teachers, school administrators and parents who contributed to the preparation process under difficult conditions. Kuwait Armed Forces and Ministry of Interior personnel were credited by the ministry with assisting in logistical aspects of the remote examination framework. Results approval followed internal reviews that confirmed the integrity of the online format.

Further details released by the ministry listed top performers in each stream, with the three perfect scorers standing alone at the absolute maximum. The announcement underscored that no prior cohort had produced even a single trio of full-mark graduates in the national secondary system. Students seeking their individual results can retrieve them directly via the Sahel app without requiring additional documentation.
