Kuwait Municipality said on June 24, 2026, its Hawally teams issued 65 public hygiene and road occupancy violations, removed 53 abandoned vehicles and placed 361 warning stickers during the latest campaign. The Public Relations Department announced that field tours will continue with no leniency toward violators to preserve cleanliness, public order and road safety in the governorate.

The Kuwait Municipality’s Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Departments carried out the inspections as part of governorate-wide campaigns to enforce municipal laws and maintain public spaces. Teams identified violators and initiated legal procedures against them in line with established regulations. The focus remains on improving overall cleanliness while addressing elements that obstruct roadways or diminish the area’s aesthetic quality.

Municipal data indicates that Hawally has been a consistent target for these operations, with one March campaign resulting in the removal of 213 abandoned vehicles according to local reports. A mid-June effort across Kuwait led to 384 vehicles being cleared and 427 citations issued, Times Kuwait reported on June 14. Such figures demonstrate the volume of work required to manage abandoned property across the country.

The announcement by the municipality’s Public Relations Department confirmed that the latest Hawally results are part of an unrelenting series of field tours. It warned that there will be no leniency in applying rules against public hygiene and road occupancy infractions. Legal measures are to be taken uniformly to protect public order, cleanliness and safety for all residents.

Kuwait Municipality has expanded these initiatives in response to persistent challenges with visual pollution from derelict cars and unauthorized occupations of public land. Coordination among departments ensures efficient identification, notification and removal processes. Warning stickers provide initial alerts, followed by towing if owners fail to respond within stipulated periods.

Al Jarida reported that the Kuwaiti Cabinet formed a five-member committee to examine random parking and vehicle accumulation in open spaces. The group, which includes ministers from public works, municipal affairs and other sectors, is tasked with proposing regulatory enhancements. This policy-level step complements the municipality’s direct enforcement activities in governorates including Hawally.

The department confirmed that inspection tours will continue across the governorate. It warned that there will be no leniency toward violations of public hygiene and road occupancy regulations. All necessary legal measures will be taken against violators to preserve public order, cleanliness and road safety.
