The three-day event at The Arena, 360 Mall, brings together shopping, specialist talks and hands-on activities, with this year’s edition extending its focus to children up to 12.
Kuwait’s Mama + Baby and Kids Expo opens tomorrow, Thursday, 24 September, bringing families, specialists and maternal and children’s brands together at The Arena in 360 Mall. Running until Saturday, 26 September, the exhibition offers free entry, with doors open from 10am to 10pm each day, according to the event listing.
For parents preparing for a new arrival, the appeal is straightforward: a chance to explore products and services, meet the people behind them and ask questions in person. This year’s edition also reaches further into family life, with a broader programme designed to remain relevant as children grow.
Organised by Fouz Expos Company, the team behind Mirzaam Expo and Mirzaamiyat Ramadan, the event combines a shopping exhibition with opportunities to learn, explore and spend time together. Its second edition builds on that format with a wider age range and a stronger emphasis on the different stages of raising a family.
Growing with the family
The expanded Mama + Baby and Kids identity reflects a deliberate change in scope. In remarks reported by Al Rai ahead of the opening, Fouz Expos founder and chief executive Farah Al Humaidhi said the exhibition had developed to cover the journey from pre-pregnancy and pregnancy through the newborn years and childhood up to the age of 12.
That gives the event relevance beyond the first shopping list for a baby. A family expecting its first child and parents looking for activities or services for an older sibling can approach the same exhibition with different priorities.
Al Humaidhi also highlighted the mix of local and international brands, including products appearing at a specialist exhibition in Kuwait for the first time and new launches from established names. The intention, she explained, is for families to leave with something useful, whether a discovery, new knowledge or an enjoyable experience with their children.
Time to ask the questions
The educational programme provides another reason to visit. Talks are scheduled across all three days, alongside practical workshops offering direct interaction with specialists.
The organisers’ official announcements place the talks on the main Talks Stage and the workshops in the Green Room. Thursday’s advertised programme includes a reproductive health session with Dr Hanouf Al Sumait, a consultant in obstetrics, gynaecology, infertility and IVF, at 5.40pm.
For visitors, the value of that format is the opportunity to make learning part of the day. Parents can plan their visit around a subject that matters to them, then explore the exhibition before or after the session. It also gives the event a purpose for people who arrive with questions rather than a particular purchase in mind.
Registration for talks and workshops is available through the expo’s official channels. The organisers say free talks operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so registering interest should not be treated as a reserved seat.
Discovering what fits everyday life
The exhibition’s product and service categories stretch across maternal wellbeing, baby essentials, family health, education, play and family services. That breadth creates room for practical discoveries as well as larger purchases.
Seeing a product in person allows a different kind of conversation from browsing a photograph online. Families can discuss how it works, what it includes and whether it suits their routines. Meeting a service provider also offers an opportunity to understand its approach before deciding what to explore further.
Children’s activities and interactive experiences add a family outing element to the exhibition. Alongside the stands and sessions, they help create a visit that can accommodate several interests within the same household.
Planning a visit
The expo runs from 24 to 26 September at The Arena, 360 Mall, with the same 10am-to-10pm opening hours throughout. The long daily schedule gives families flexibility to visit during the day or in the evening.
Visitors interested in a specific talk or workshop should check the organisers’ latest programme and registration information before travelling. The official visitor page and @mamababyexpo provide further information.
For Kuwait’s families, the weekend offers a chance to bring several parts of parenting into one visit: discovering products, hearing from specialists and finding ideas that remain useful after the exhibition closes.
