The Meteorological Department has predicted hot and partly cloudy to cloudy weather for Saturday across Kuwait, accompanied by fresh winds that may raise dust in multiple areas. Southwesterly to southeasterly winds are expected to blow at speeds of 15 to 55 kilometers per hour, occasionally becoming active and leading to reduced visibility in open areas according to the department. A chance of scattered rainfall exists which could become thundery at times as part of the unstable system.

Nighttime conditions will turn mild with partly cloudy to cloudy skies as southeasterly winds shift to northwesterly ranging from 12 to 50 kilometers per hour and continuing to stir up dust in some regions the department reported. The Meteorological Department has maintained its weather watch for fresh winds dust and possible thundery rain throughout the period. Expected temperatures include a maximum of 38 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius based on Kuwait International Airport readings.

This forecast deviates from typical November patterns in Kuwait where average daytime highs stand at 27 degrees Celsius and monthly precipitation totals around 31 millimeters according to climate data compiled over multiple decades by services such as Weather Spark. The elevated temperatures and dust activity reflect the influence of current low-pressure systems moving through the region the department’s models indicate. Officials have previously advised individuals with asthma or allergies to take extra precautions during such dusty and thundery conditions as noted in related briefings.

The department’s latest update follows similar alerts issued earlier in the week which also highlighted risks of reduced visibility below 1,000 meters in affected zones due to dust stirred by strong winds. Winds during the unstable weather have been variable starting from the southeast before shifting directions the Meteorological Department stated. Rainfall intensity in these events generally ranges from light to moderate according to the authority’s assessments.

Temperatures are projected to decrease significantly in the coming days reaching a high of only 19 degrees Celsius by Wednesday with a low near 14 degrees Celsius and continued chances of scattered rain the Meteorological Department stated. Sunday will see highs around 30 degrees Celsius under rather hot and partly cloudy skies with dust-raising winds according to the forecast. The shift underscores varying weather patterns in the Gulf during November when transitional systems often bring such fluctuations.
