The Ahmadi Municipality removed three unlicensed clothing collection boxes in the Al-Manqaf and Al-Sabahiya areas following an intensive inspection campaign the local branch announced. Officials issued two violations for space encroachment during the operation and distributed seven warnings to those responsible for the breaches. Saad Al-Khurainj director of the Ahmadi Municipality branch explained that supervisory teams from the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Department conducted the field tours to enforce local regulations across the governorate.

Al-Khurainj said the inspections seek to identify violations and apply legal measures against offenders in line with municipal bylaws. The municipality’s public relations department stated that such campaigns will continue in all areas under its jurisdiction to ensure compliance and deter future infractions. These steps form part of a sustained push to regulate public spaces and prevent unauthorized activities.

Kuwait Municipality has stepped up actions against unlicensed donation collection sites in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs. The ministry reported that field teams seized more than 140 illegal clothes kiosks during the Ramadan period earlier this year contributing to a nearly 70 percent reduction in donation-related violations from the prior year. All such efforts adhere to Cabinet Resolution No. 914 of 2001 which requires removal of unlicensed collection units and restricts activities to approved headquarters and branches.

Unauthorized boxes pose risks to the charitable sector by enabling collections beyond official oversight according to ministry assessments. Municipal teams focus on ensuring only licensed associations manage donations from designated sites. The Ahmadi operation aligns with similar drives in other governorates where violations receive immediate attention from inspection units.

In a parallel effort the municipality continues its Sustainable Impact campaign in Hawally governorate between October 18 and 22 to build environmental awareness. The program promotes resource conservation and waste reduction among residents while reinforcing sustainability practices. Officials have called for community participation to support both regulatory enforcement and environmental goals.

The recent Ahmadi campaign reflects broader municipal strategies to organize public areas and address encroachments systematically. Municipal data indicates that consistent field monitoring has improved outcomes in limiting such violations over time. Authorities encourage residents to report suspected illegal collection boxes directly to the relevant municipal departments for prompt action.
