The Meteorological Department said Kuwait will experience scattered at times thundery rain accompanied by dust that reduces horizontal visibility occasionally active winds and a chance of fog in the evenings and early mornings through the weekend. Acting Director Dhirar Al-Ali told the Kuwait News Agency that an extension of a surface low-pressure system coinciding with an upper-level low is causing low and medium clouds to build. Al-Ali added that winds will be variable turning southeasterly light to moderate with periods of activity while humidity remains elevated both day and night.[[1]](https://kuwaittimes.com/article/52622/kuwait/scattered-at-times-thundery-rain-and-dust-forecast-through-weekend/)

According to the department’s updated bulletin issued Thursday temperatures will peak between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius during the day with southeasterly winds of 10 to 45 kilometres per hour. Nighttime lows are expected to range from 21 to 23 degrees Celsius under mild humid and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with continued chances of rain and fog. The forecast reflects real-time data from the Kuwait Meteorological Center which has recorded recent rainfall of nearly two millimetres at the main airport.[[2]](https://www.met.gov.kw/)

Friday will bring highs of 32 to 34 degrees Celsius with winds between eight and 40 kilometres per hour and a continued risk of scattered thundery rain plus evening fog that may further limit visibility in coastal areas. On Saturday similar hot and humid conditions are anticipated with daytime temperatures again reaching 32 to 34 degrees and nighttime readings of 23 to 25 degrees under a chance of scattered rain. The department has emphasised that these patterns could shift and has directed residents to its official website and mobile application for the latest adjustments.[[3]](https://www.met.gov.kw/Forecasts/48hour.php)

The sea state is forecast to remain slight to moderate with waves of one to six feet during daylight hours increasing in roughness at times according to the Meteorological Center observations. Divers and sea-goers have received warnings to prepare for the onset of the stormy Al-Ahaimer season that often brings stronger marine conditions in the coming weeks. Fog formation is highlighted as a particular concern during evening and early morning transitions across both marine and inland zones.

Kuwait’s Meteorological Department maintains an interactive station map and issues regular charts that currently show southeasterly winds at around 18 kilometres per hour with humidity near 55 percent at the international airport. These tools allow for precise tracking of the low-pressure extension that has already produced thundery activity earlier in the week. The department’s 48-hour outlook aligns with numerical models projecting gradual improvement in visibility after early morning hours.

Additional reports from regional outlets confirm the persistence of high humidity and precipitation chances extending into early next week with highs remaining in the low to mid 30s Celsius. Al-Ali has previously noted similar transitional patterns in late October that blend residual summer heat with increasing cloud cover and isolated thunder. The authority continues to update its forecasts multiple times daily to reflect evolving atmospheric conditions across the country.
