The Ministry of Health completed legal and technical procedures on a number of complaints and reports involving private sector practitioners and facilities resulting in penalties for violations and medical errors. Seven healthcare practitioners faced disciplinary measures including a consultant medical directors owners of private health facility licenses and officials responsible for medical departments according to the ministry. Several private hospitals clinics and medical centers also came under regulatory action with financial penalties totaling KD 5,700 the permanent closure of one clinic and the cancellation of a facility license.
One private medical center was allowed to reopen after completing required procedures while the dental department at another center will remain closed until it meets workforce requirements under Ministerial Resolution No. 36 of 2024 and complies with quality and infection-control standards the ministry stated. These steps were taken in line with Law No. 70 of 2020 on the practice of medicine patient rights and healthcare facilities as well as directives from Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi. The ministry indicated that inspections and monitoring of private facilities will continue with violations referred to competent authorities for full technical and legal processing.

Complaints and inspection findings continue to drive referrals for investigation under the established legal framework the ministry reported. Such actions apply uniformly to all private hospitals clinics and specialized centers operating in the country. The ministry has maintained that adherence to licensing technical and administrative regulations remains essential for all entities in the sector.
