She directed staff to simplify processes, speed up completion times and foster better coordination between units to improve overall efficiency. Al-Huwailah stressed the development of the work environment as essential for raising the standard of services delivered to the public.
The visit allowed her to gain direct insights into daily operations and any challenges faced by employees in the sector. According to the ministry, such tours enable close monitoring of performance and timely resolution of issues that may arise. The ministry maintains oversight of numerous charitable societies and associations operating in Kuwait.
Official government information identifies key groups such as the Social Reform Society, Kuwait Red Crescent Society and the General Secretariat of Charitable Work as active under its regulatory framework. These organizations contribute significantly to social welfare activities throughout the country. Ministry figures indicate that social assistance for family care supports approximately 40,000 beneficiaries each month with yearly expenditures exceeding KD 220 million, as noted by an undersecretary in late 2025.
The minister has undertaken comparable inspection visits in recent months, including one to the Yarmouk Community Development Center in June. Al-Huwailah has also announced amendments to bolster financial disclosure standards for both charitable and cooperative sectors. The updates form part of broader initiatives to heighten governance and institutional effectiveness in these areas.
A central control room visit earlier in the year similarly focused on performance assessment, according to official accounts. The ministry continues to coordinate with various entities through platforms like the Kuwait National Charitable Platform to align charitable efforts with national priorities. Staff at all levels have been instructed to implement the recommendations from the latest tour without delay.
